“100 Days of Bible Promises: A Devotional Journal” is an excellent, journaling resource filled with God’s promises. It allows the reader to write his/her most, intimate reflections daily for 100 days.
When I reflect on His promises, pray over Scriptures, write down my most intimate prayers, and acknowledge His blessings, His love overwhelms my heart and His Word refreshes my soul.
“Wow, how sweet is that? His love overwhelms my heart!”
His promises calm anxious hearts, reset attitudes, reframe perspectives and ultimately give us the strength and hope to take another step.

His promises never expire. Christine Caine’s new release titled ‘Unexpected’ noted, “God wants us to believe and understand that his promises don’t have expiration dates. They aren’t like passports or gym memberships. They aren’t like the condiments in the fridge or the food in the pantry. Our Heavenly Father has given us a book full of his promises that have no expiration dates – and he will always make good on his promises.”
”Thank goodness, we don’t have to check for an expiration date. No need to throw away any of His promises either.”
When surrendering our plans and trusting His promises, we allow God’s faithfulness and unfailing love to be in display.
Life transitions are ‘challenging’. Some are even ‘traumatic’ or ‘disheartening’ in nature. In transitions, I tend to draft the ‘perfect’ plan so I maintain control.
“Has that ever happened to you? I tend to think I can control the outcomes too…”
I start mapping out different strategies and multiple perfect plans. If the first plan fails, then I’ve got multiple contingencies readily available for quick implementation.
“Lord, it’s hard to let go of my plan! I even keep original drafts at times!”
It may not be easy to let go of our detailed plans, ‘to do’ lists or projected outcomes at first. But, it gets easier over time with intentional practice.
Everytime I craft a master plan, I soon realize who truly is ‘the One’ in control. The Lord determines every step of the journey, and orchestrates life circumstances to work for my own good (Prov. 16:9, Rom. 8:28 NIV).
Some people may even say, “Let go. Let God”. Others may say, “go with the flow”. I’ve learned to say, “hear my prayers and take note of my distress, Lord”.
Just know, our Lord is steering all of us towards a well-designed, blueprint for the future.

God is mindful of us (Psalm 8: 4). He truly cares.
In the past several years…
God has noticed my distress, comforted me in my hurts, and reassured me of His presence in my deepest sorrow.
I was unprepared for Mom’s diagnosis of Alzheimer Disease. But, God held my hand and walked with me!
I was disheartened when my parents’ financial situation dramatically changed and moved back to Venezuela. But, God helped me adapt and be content with a long-distance relationship!
I was crushed when dad had a massive heart attack and did not survive! But, God comforted me!
I was in disbelief when I heard mom’s citizenship was denied. But, God is helping me to follow His lead for her upcoming relocation!As much as I want for mom to live with familiar caregivers or family members, she needs an assisted living facility for Alzheimer’s patients at this point in time. It was a tough decision! Her health deteriorated after dad’s death. She now needs 24/7 supervision.
When Alzheimer patients are confused or disoriented, their safety is compromised.
As I’m typing this sentence, I realize mom has a long road ahead.
When a new season unfolds, God is already there and He embraces us with His never-ending compassion and unconditional love.

God wants us to cry out to Him and share our distress.
Be specific and ask for the unimaginable. Anything is possible for God.
