Last Mission

imageCan you be here by 4:40pm today? She asked.

“I sure can. It’s perfect” I reassured the technician on the telephone.

The Lord’s timing is precise.

He is never early or late!

G.Q. has lived in two States and in five different homes in the past twenty years. He is ‘momma’s precious feline’ who was diagnosed with kidney failure four years ago.

He continues to lose weight… another pound was lost in the past month.

The vet highly recommended starting IV fluid therapy every other week, pain medication, and appetite stimulant. G.Q was ready to be at ease and pain-free.

‘Keep on loving him until the end’,

I encouraged myself when scheduling his next IV fluid therapy appointment.

“A person’s days are determined; you have decreed the number of his months and have set limits he cannot exceed.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭14:5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

As much as I want for G.Q. to be robust once again, it is not realistic. I’m so heart-broken! I’ve got to surrender, trust and let God dictate the steps of His journey.

G.Q is His divine creation.

‘Yes, his days are numbered’ the Lord reminded me as I walked out of the Vet’s clinic.

Loving G.Q., and serving him one day at a time is my mission until he takes his last breath of air.
