A Fragrant Aroma.

“But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is adequate for these things? For we are not like many, peddling the word of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God.”

2 Corinthians 2:14-17

“What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be! Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness? But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed, and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.” Romans 1:15-18

“…and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.” Ephesians 5:2

“But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.” Philippians 4:18

Lord,
I am your beloved daughter for such a time as this…
Allow Your fragrance to spread among those who are either lukewarm, in darkness or even lost.
Help me speak Your truth in love and glorify Your name.
Break down all Your teachings so I understand them clearly.
Show me ‘how to’ be obedient.
Help me take ungodly thoughts captive so I can surrender these negative thoughts at the feet of the Cross.
I want to be a slave of righteousness, walk in love, share Your wisdom to those who are in desperately need, and always maintain a fragrant aroma.

In Jesus’ name, I boldly pray. Amen

A Faithful God

He is a Faithful God.

“As for God, His way is blameless;
The word of the LORD is tested;
He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.
God is my strong fortress;
And He sets the blameless in His way.
He makes my feet like hinds’ feet,
And sets me on my high places.” 2 Samuel 22: 31, 33-34

“The Rock! His work is perfect,
For all His ways are just;
A God of faithfulness and without injustice,
Righteous and upright are He.” Deuteronomy 32: 4

Lord,
You are a shield and my fortress.
As I rely on You for strength, guidance, and comfort, You are faithful and merciful.
You are my only Rock!
Thank You, Jesus, for being so steadfast in my life.
In Jesus’ name, I boldly praise. Amen.

Seek His Face.

“Commit yourself to the Lord; let Him deliver him;

Let Him rescue him because He delights in him.” Psalm 22:8

“Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him;

I will set him securely on high because he has known My name.” Psalm 91:14

“He trusts in God; let God rescue Him now if He delights in Him; for He said, ‘I am the Son of God.’ ”

Matthew 27:43

Lord,

I commit myself to seek Your face every day. No delays.  No excuses. No procrastination.

I delight in Your Word. I rely on Your promises. I trust in Your intentions and unfailing love.

In Jesus’ name, I courageously pray, Amen.

A Grateful Heart

I hope you had a relaxing weekend.

The fall season is here. As I grabbed the handle of a local store’s double doors this morning, I immediately noticed Christmas decorations everywhere.

Unfortunately, I also sense the pressures of the upcoming Holiday season.

“What happened to Thanksgiving?” I whispered. A time to be ‘grateful’ and fellowship with family and friends. I immediately felt the rush and time constraints of this new season.

“I love Fall y’all.” So let slow down and enjoy the season of Thanksgiving.

Will you make time to study God’s Word?

If so, The Bible Reading Journal Series: A Grateful Heart is perfect for you so you can slow down a bit, and fellowship with the Lord for few minutes a day in the month of November.

It is now available on Amazon.com

His Precious Words.

“The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul. The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.” Psalm 19:7-8

“The works of His hands are truth and justice. All His precepts are sure. They are upheld forever and ever. They are performed in truth and uprightness.” Psalm 111:7-8

“The words of the Lord are pure words. As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, refined seven times.” Psalm 12:6

Lord, Your precepts are flawless and restores my soul every day.

Your wisdom is appreciated. Your promises both refresh my soul and offers me hope.

You are life, truth, and justice. I cling to every one of Your precious words.

In Jesus’ name, I praise.

Amen.

He Directs My Steps.

“You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, Your right hand upholds me, and Your gentleness makes me great. You enlarge my steps under me, and my feet have not slipped. Psalm 18:35-36

“Bless our God, O peoples, and sound His praise abroad who keeps us in life and does not allow our feet to slip.” Psalm 66:8-9

“I have directed you in the way of wisdom. I have led you in upright paths. When you walk, your steps will not be impeded and if you run, you will not stumble.” Proverb 4:11-12

Lord, I appreciate Your gentleness and morning mercies. When I seek wisdom, You direct every step of my goal-planning sessions. I love to plan with You. I know I will not fail if I’m in Your will. I’ve got to admit I tend to be rebellious at times and even prideful so forgive me when I am. I hope the Holy Spirit nudges me immediately so I may repent immediately and ask You to direct my ways. You always want the best for my life, and I appreciate Your divine appointments.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

In The Shadow of His Wings

“Keep me as the apple of the eye. Hide me in the shadow of Your wings” Psalm 17:8“

How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.” Psalm 36:7

“Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me, for my soul takes refuge in You. And in the shadow of Your wings, I will take refuge until destruction passes by. I will cry to God Most High, to God who accomplishes all things for me.” Psalm 57:1-2

“He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings, you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.” Psalm 91:4

Lord be gracious and protect me from all the evil in the world. I take refuge under Your wings now so be my shield and refuge.

I am less anxious when I seek Your comfort and rest. You are so trusting and reliable.

I adore You Abba Father.

I trust you wholeheartedly. In Jesus’ name, I courageously pray.

Amen.
